Bookkeeper with Xero

Join a forward-thinking, multi-partner accounting firm as a Bookkeeper, where you’ll play a key role in onboarding and supporting new clients with cutting-edge cloud-based technology. This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of clients and drive improvements through streamlined bookkeeping processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client onboarding & technology adoption: Work with new clients to set up and transition them onto advanced cloud-based systems, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience and optimal system usage.
  • Portfolio management: Maintain and review a dedicated portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality bookkeeping services and personalized support.
  • Systems implementation & automation: Assist with implementing efficient bookkeeping systems and contribute to projects that enhance automation and streamline workflows for clients.
  • Financial oversight: Prepare and review quarterly VAT returns, produce management accounts, and perform regular bookkeeping duties to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Ad-hoc project work: Participate in special projects focused on optimizing and automating bookkeeping and reporting processes for clients.

What We’re Looking For

  • Current or previous experience of working for an accounting practice
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping, ideally with a strong understanding of cloud-based software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks).
  • Experience in client onboarding and system implementations is preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to improving financial processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with clients.
