We are seeking an Operations Manager to join a fun and friendly team. You will need to be experienced in the key operational areas of a customer facing business, and ideally from either leisure or hospitality. You will thrive in busy environment, and be hands on with a can do attitude.

This position requires strong leadership skills, and able to work as part of a team, bring a positive attitude with your staff and fellow managers. You'll be responsible for the day to day running of the operations for a busy, family run leisure and hospitality business.

  • To maintain a high quality, safe and well run day to day business, delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Manage the daily operations, ensuring staff have clearly defined duties and objectives with measurable performance systems in place.
  • Provide strong, inclusive and supportive leadership to proactively manager, coach and train the team, including supervisors and team leaders.
  • You will share with other duty management on a rota basis including weekends and Bank Holidays.
  • Actively contribute to the development and implementation of new projects, activities and events alongside Directors and other managers.
  • To manage HR matters including recruitment and induction, and staff appraisals and performance, the training programme, disciplinary and grievance procedures in addition to any day to day staff matters.
  • Manage staff rostering in line with budget, ensuring KPIs are met.
  • Conduct high quality management handover processes and chair weekly ops meeting ensuring timely feedback on visitor, operational and staffing matters.
  • Maintain a safe environment for customers and staff in accordance with Fire, Safety, and Environment policies and procedures.
  • Provide in depth knowledge of Health & Safety policies & procedures
  • Experience implementing and reviewing systems and standard operating procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and with ability to multi task in an orderly and focussed way, whilst meeting deadlines.
  • Working hours are 5 days per week. This will include one weekend day and one week (and some Bank Holiday shifts)
