Join a leading company in a Junior Chemist role and play a vital role in supporting the production and smooth operation of laboratories. This position is perfect for a scientific degree graduate or experienced candidate eager to contribute to various aspects of flavour production, testing, formulation, and documentation.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist in the production of flavour standards, including capsule manufacturing.
- Collaborate with the team to produce complex flavour standard complexes using nanochemistry techniques.
- Calibrate laboratory equipment and ensure all certifications are up-to-date.
- Maintain chemical stocks, registers, and HACCP documentation.
- Dilute manufactured flavours with excipients.
- Support the team with technical issues and tasks, including procurement and inventory monitoring.
- Input information into internal systems and maintain hygiene and housekeeping practices in the laboratory.
- Participate in a range of other tasks, from production to packaging.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field, preferably in chemistry or related disciplines.
- Experience in the food, beverage, or pharmaceutical industry is advantageous.
- Strong numeracy and language skills for precise work and effective communication.
- Local candidate available on a short notice
- Full and indefinite right to work in the UK
