Reed Education are supporting a brilliant independent SEN School in Cobham, and we are seekingĀ an SEN Teaching Assistant specialising in ASD.Ā We are committed to providing exceptional support to all our students and are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with ASD.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Use specialised strategies and interventions to support studentsā€™ social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Monitor and record studentsā€™ progress and provide feedback to the SENCO and teaching staff.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working with children with ASD.
  • A strong understanding of the challenges and strategies associated with supporting students with autism.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (desirable).
