We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our special education teachers to support the academic and social development of students with a range of disabilities. Your duties may include providing one-on-one or small group support, implementing behavior plans, assisting with classroom activities, and helping students with their personal care needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with disabilities
- Assist with implementing behavior plans and strategies
- Assist with classroom activities and instruction
- Help students with their personal care needs, such as toileting, feeding, and dressing
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers
- Attend meetings with parents, teachers, and other professionals to discuss students' needs and progress
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience working with students with disabilities preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of basic computer programs and software
- Ability to work flexible hours and manage multiple tasks
- Patience, compassion, and a willingness to learn
