What will you be doing?
- Managing a portfolio of medium and large corporate clients including consolidated group
- Overseeing the preparation of financial statements under FRS102 & IFRS
- Working in conjunction with the audit teams both internally and external
- Review of financial statements for compliance with relevant accounting standards
- collaborate with the team designing, implementing and overing the office process for transitioning FRS 102 clients to the amended FRED 82 framework, with focus on revenue recognition and lease accounting
- Involvement in scoping, budgeting and tendering for large corporate financial reporting work
- Maintaining a good level of technical knowledge and being able to independently research issues forming own solutions
- Focus on business development which includes maintaining own key relationships and fostering new relations.
- Financial management of portfolio, taking control of WIP, billing and debt management
- Preparation of technical memorandums and reports for clients in relation to complex accounting policies, adjustments, and disclosures.
- Management and development of emerging talent within the accounts team, including the delivery of technical training on current issues.
What about you?
- ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience within an accountancy practice
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to create and maintain client relationships
- Ability to delivery results to a deadline.
- Strong technical understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS
- Experience in preparation of consolidation working paper and financial statements.
- Will be based within the office, but also expected to travel to client offices in the surrounding offices.
