Are you an experienced Mixed Tax Manager looking for an exciting opportunity within a well-established accountancy practice? This is a fantastic role for a tax professional who enjoys working across both corporate and personal tax and wants to be part of a friendly, forward-thinking firm in Leatherhead.

The Role

As a Mixed Tax Manager, you’ll manage a diverse portfolio of clients, providing both compliance and advisory services across corporate and personal tax. You’ll play a key role in developing client relationships, supporting junior team members, and contributing to the growth of the firm’s tax offering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs, and high-net-worth individuals, delivering both corporate and personal tax services.
  • Reviewing and finalising corporation tax and personal tax returns, ensuring compliance with UK tax legislation.
  • Providing advisory support on areas such as capital allowances, R&D tax relief, inheritance tax planning, and business structuring.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, offering strategic tax planning advice tailored to their needs.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior tax staff, reviewing their work, and assisting with training and development.
  • Working closely with partners to identify business development opportunities and contribute to the firm’s growth.
  • Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients, handling queries, investigations, and negotiations where required.
About You:
  • ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified (or equivalent), with solid experience in mixed tax within an accountancy practice.
  • Strong technical knowledge of corporate tax, personal tax, and UK tax legislation.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to provide clear and proactive tax advice.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of clients and delivering both compliance and advisory services.
  • Proven ability to review and sign off tax work and support junior staff.
  • A commercial mindset with the ability to spot opportunities for business development and client growth.
