Senior Audit Manager - Surrey

We are currently working with one of the leading firms in Surrey, looking to hire a Senior Audit Manager.

While this is primarily an audit manager role, you will have the opportunity to work in areas outside of audit, such as due diligence, accountancy support, and other commercial advisory work. You will manage your own portfolio of clients, ranging from SMEs to complex groups, including some high-profile and exciting names.

The client base truly sets this firm apart, both in variety and prestige. Clients range from high-net-worth individuals to multinational groups, from start-ups and entrepreneurial companies to established groups. Sectors include motorsport, high-end retail brands, property development, technology, financial services, and NFP, with the majority being high-margin.

Duties: In this role, you will work closely with Corporate Directors and Partners. Your duties will include:

  • Exposure to the owners and/or directors of clients
  • Liaising closely with partners on clients' affairs from an audit and commercial perspective
  • Providing accountancy and commercial management support to clients
  • Conducting audit risk assessment and planning
  • Ensuring the effective delivery of financial statements that meet relevant statutory reporting requirements
  • Handling ad hoc projects such as due diligence, investigations, and valuations
  • Continuously improving processes
  • Leading and developing junior staff
  • Involvement in proposals for new work and business development initiatives

Requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA qualified or equivalent
  • Experience managing an audit portfolio
  • 5 years of experience working in the UK
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102 & IFRS
  • US GAAP knowledge would be advantageous
