My Surrey based client is looking to recruit a Senior Category Manager into their team with a focus on clinical and healthcare categories. Reporting into the Head of Procurement, the role will be responsible for the development and implementation of a strategic Category Plan through tendering and ongoing management of the contract portfolio across varying expenditures and complexities, whilst ensuring compliance with internal regulations and applicable legislation.

The role would be perfect for a candidate who has experience in procurement & healthcare requirements, as well as the evolving landscape in that space ie new ways of working - step down services (LA social care), Provider Selection Regime (or be willing to learn). Ideally you will also have clinical buying experience. The successful candidate will also have some commissioning experience.

To be successful, and in addition to the procurement, commissioning and category management experience, you will also be MCIPS qualified or working towards it and have experience in public sector procurement.

This is a permanent role with 1 day a month in the office and with a salary of circa £53,000.
