We are seeking a motivated Private Client Solicitor to join our client’s growing Private Client team to manage a diverse caseload, meet targets, and support the firm’s growth.
You will handle wills, trusts, probate, and tax matters, while engaging in networking and marketing efforts. Develop your expertise and deliver excellent client care.
- £47,000 - £55,000 salary (DOE)
- Based in Leatherhead
- Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm
- 2-5 years PQE

Job specification:
- Support the department in meeting fee-earning targets by assisting clients within and outside the department.
- Manage client matters and oversee relevant support services, including secretarial staff if applicable.
- Contribute to marketing activities and assist in Trainee training.
- Ensure financial control, including cash flow and billing procedures.
- Participate fully in team activities and support absent fee earners.
- Work outside regular hours and travel for client meetings when necessary.
- Promote good file management and help improve internal procedures.
- Perform other duties as required and ensure compliance with Lexcel and regulatory standards.
Person specification:
- Good honours degree.
- Competent in chosen area of law, achieving targets for chargeable hours, fees, recovery rate, lock-up, and non-chargeable time.
- Experience with Practice Evolve or other office management systems.
- Familiarity with Lexcel requirements.
- Develops and maintains client/referrer relationships.
- Understands when and how to refer work to relevant departments.
- Participates in firm activities beyond assigned department.
- Solid training and well-developed interpersonal, social, and communication skills, especially in sensitive situations (e.g., Private Client).
- Effective team player and ability to work under pressure.
- Computer literate and able to apply technology in your role.
- Strong commitment and enthusiasm.
- Knowledge of solicitor responsibilities, including professional conduct, client care, confidentiality, conflicts of interest, and compliance.
- Specialist knowledge in area of practice.
