We are seeking a dedicated KS3 Teacher to lead our nurture programme, focusing on students aged 11-16 with ASD and other complex or anxiety-related needs. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a significant impact in the lives of students and their families, offering a creative and supportive educational environment.
Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning tailored to students with ASD and complex needs.
- Develop and implement individualised lesson plans that cater to the diverse educational, physical, and social needs of the students.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to enhance the curriculum and student learning experiences.
- Monitor, assess, and report on student progress to parents, team members, and relevant bodies.
- Contribute to the development and review of EHC plans, PEP, and LAC reviews.
- Manage classroom dynamics and appropriately handle challenging behaviours in line with school policies.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay informed on autism and related conditions.
- Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience in a special school environment, particularly with pupils with ASC and SEND.
- Proven ability to deliver a differentiated curriculum to pupils with diverse needs.
- Desirable: Further qualifications in SEND.
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies for students with autism and complex needs.
