We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a registered social housing provider, who are in need of a Compliance Services Manager ideally on a permanent basis (would consider temp-perm).

This is a full time position working Monday - Friday paying up to £55,000 per annum and offering a hybrid working approach with 2/3 days working from home.

The role will focus on the delivery of servicing and compliance across the stock portfolio to include gas maintenance, fire alarm servicing, fire risk assessments, etc and other contracts which are service chargeable such as grounds maintenance.

These are currently delivered through the In-house repairs team and external contractors. Awareness of regulatory requirements is essential.

Duties of the role will include:

  • Implement and make changes around service delivery
  • Oversee compliance across the organisation, ensuring housing services meet required standards, and supporting the delivery of services that are legally compliant, safe, and effective for those we support
  • Ensure the organisation’s housing stock and services comply with health and safety laws, regulations, and standards.  Conduct regular health and safety audits and inspections across all properties and services
  • Manage risk assessments, ensuring that any identified risks are addressed promptly
  • Deliver and manage statutory servicing and inspection regimes
  • Develop, implement, and review internal policies and procedures related to compliance, ensuring that the organisation’s practices align with regulatory requirements and reflect the best interests of the individuals they support
  • Deliver and manage cyclical works and contracts, including those which are service chargeable
  • Develop and manage a robust reporting system for monitoring compliance activities. Provide regular reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key compliance issues, trends, and actions taken to resolve them
  • Management of trade operatives or direct labour, and external contractors
  • Deliver works against agreed performance indicators, contractual requirements within agreed budgets
  • Lead on procurement producing specifications and ensuring works are carried out to the required standard
  • Be aware of property legislation and standards relating to social and supported housing
  • Lead, motivate, and manage colleagues to ensure high levels of performance and service delivery
