An interim opportunity has arisen to provide a specialist floating support service to residents within independent living schemes. This is a part-time position, working three days a week.

Location: Surrey

Type: 3 months, until the end of March

Hours: Up to 20 hours per week

Shifts: 9:00am – 5:00pm,three days per week, flexible

Main Duties

  • Manage a designated number of independent living schemes
  • Induct new residents to the scheme
  • Carry out weekly welfare calls via a home visit, meeting at a scheme office, intercom, phone call, encouraging contact methods that best assess residents’ wellbeing
  • Keep thorough tenant records, including details of vulnerabilities and scheme logs using the appropriate systems
  • Keep accurate scheme information and review it annually
  • Carry out fire risk assessments for all residents and update when their circumstances change
  • Carry out settling in visits, tenancy review visits/audits and any other visits
  • Understanding of safeguarding issues and make safeguarding referrals
  • Act as the point of call for emergencies
  • Oversee contractors on site ensuring quality of work is maintained and carry out regular Health and Safety checks

Essential requirements:

  • Previous experience working with older people or in a similar environment
  • Full and valid UK driving license
  • Excellent communication skills and IT literate
