Description
- Oversee all aspects of the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects.
- Prepare contracts and documents, including bills of quantities.
- Estimating and Buying takeoffs
- Assist in establishing a client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies.
- Carry out monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasting final costs and sales.
- Provide advice on contractual claims and support in disputes.
- Analyse outcomes and produce detailed progress reports.
- Manage and maintain relationships with construction professionals, including site managers, architects, engineers, and contractors.
- Conduct on-site visits to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety standards.
Profile
A successful Quantity Surveyor should have:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- A thorough understanding of construction methodologies and industry standards.
- Excellent numeracy skills and proficiency in cost analysis.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software and technology.
