Your new roleYou will be a skilled Social Worker looking to join a highly regarded Safeguarding Team. You will be working with individuals with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism to achieve their desired outcomes. Your responsibilities include conducting S42 Safeguarding Enquiries, Mental Capacity Assessments, and collaborating with health professionals and other stakeholders such as carers and advocates. As a Social Worker, you will engage in various unique projects, ensuring service users can enjoy a home of their own and live a healthy and meaningful life.What you'll need to succeed
- Professional qualification in Social Work
- Current registration with SWE
- Successful completion of an Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) programme if qualified as a Social Worker after June 2012
- Knowledge and experience of current legislation such as The Care Act and The Mental Capacity Act, with a focus on Adult Safeguarding duties
- Experience in conducting complex adult safeguarding enquiries and using professional judgment in complex situations
