Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of high-quality education to students with SEN and ASD.
  • Collaborate with teachers to tailor lessons to individual student needs, ensuring effective engagement.
  • Implement behavioural management strategies and assist students in managing their behaviour.
  • Prepare and deliver learning materials that cater to the specific needs of SEN and ASD students.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Facilitate small group sessions and one-to-one support as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a HLTA, particularly with SEN and ASD students.
  • A HLTA qualification is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of the educational needs and challenges faced by students with SEN and ASD.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
