Job Type: Full-time, Temporary 5 days a week (to start ASAP, covering from Easter with a transition period)

Reed Education are seeking a fantastic and passionate KS4 Maths Teacher to a brilliant SEN school based in Leatherhead. You will deliver high-quality education to our autistic students aged 11-16, who also have associated behavioural and communication difficulties. This role is an excellent opportunity for a professional passionate about making a significant impact in special education, starting immediately and covering from Easter with a transition period.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons tailored to students with autism and special educational needs.
  • Delivering entry level Maths GCSE lessons.
  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans to optimise each student's learning experience.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to enhance educational and behavioural outcomes for students.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress to parents, team members, and relevant bodies.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of our curriculum.
  • Manage classroom dynamics and ensure a supportive learning environment during the transition period and beyond.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience in a special school environment, particularly with pupils with ASC and SEND.
  • Demonstrable success in delivering a differentiated curriculum to pupils with diverse needs.
  • Desirable: Further qualifications in SEND.
  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies for students with autism and complex needs.
