This is an exciting role which involves spearheading the transformation of the supply function to achieve industry-leading standards. This entails overseeing the entire dealer supply chain, including systems and administration, with a focus on continuous improvement of stocking and distribution systems. The aim is to optimise stock flow, efficiently matching cars to customers while reducing dwell times and aged stock. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and managing retailer-facing communication for vehicle supply, ordering, and on-time delivery process enhancements.

The role serves as the point of escalation and coordination for resolving any supply-related issues internally or raised by dealers, while also managing interdepartmental communications to identify opportunities or risks and develop corresponding strategies. Collaboration with sales operation and campaign teams, product teams, and IT system teams is essential to align supply, production updates, campaign offers, product launches/updates, and system enhancements to meet retailer requirements and market conditions. Lastly, maintaining effective liaison with key stakeholders ensures the realisation of planning and supply function objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development and implementation of key supply and stocking strategies to improve stock flow and reduce aging.
  • Work alongside Sales Campaign team and product team to ensure production meets market demand and aged stock mechanisms are implemented.
  • Work with Product team to manage run-in and out of models, maintaining optimal stock according to demand and latest regulations.
  • Manage the weekly dealer communications advising of percentage ordering mix by model and version and updates as to current backorders and production constraints.
  • Support monitoring of sales campaign strategies in relation to achieving wholesale targets and advise of recommendations to continually improve
  • Support and work alongside Product team to ensure effective vehicle run out and new vehicle launch.
  • Work with all internal stakeholders, to ensure overall business requirements are met in terms of supply.
  • Provide business insight and reporting on all key areas of supply (stocking, lead times, coverage etc).
  • Liaise with HME and sales team to manage CO2 reporting at a dealer and national level.
  • Management of wider supply team to ensure dealer queries are responded to and actioned within agreed SLA’s.
  • Ensure products are set up correctly in UK distribution systems, working with Product, Supply and IT to optimise current processes.
