Our client is a digital media business providing a wide range of solutions to B2B clients. They are an established SME with ambitious growth plans.

They seek a Financial Controller to be part of this growth, working alongside the CFO you will take responsibility for financial operations and reporting. You will work closely with the senior management team, offering expert advice and guidance on financial planning, budgeting, and reporting. It is a busy and broad Financial Controller role which would suit an experienced accountant looking to develop their skills. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and tax compliance.
  • Develop and manage budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial projections to support business growth and strategic planning.
  • Analyse and monitor operational costs, identifying areas for potential savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Provide financial advice to the leadership team, supporting decision-making for project proposals and costs.
  • Manage internal controls and ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
  • Identify areas for improvement and efficiency across all areas of systems and processes.

Successful candidates will be ideally qualified with previous experience in a Finance Manager or Financial Controller role. Experience gained within an SME environment would be ideal, along with a strong finance systems knowledge. You will have the ability to lead of systems and process improvements and provide strategic support to the senior management team.
