Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated FP&A Accountant to join our client's finance team on a temporary basis for 3 months. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
- Reporting: Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Budgeting: Assist in the preparation and consolidation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Data Analysis: Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with various departments to gather financial information and support business initiatives.
- Ad-hoc Projects: Support the finance team with ad-hoc analysis and projects as required.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion).
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Proactive and able to take initiative.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
