- Assist in the preparation of the monthly financial management information (MI) pack for the group.
- Ensure timely payment of all suppliers, accurate reconciliation of ledgers, and efficient resolution of queries.
- Submit VAT returns on time and ensure compliance.
- Maintain and update the chart of accounts and cost centres.
- Oversee the costing function, ensuring costings are completed on time and accurately reflected in the system.
- Prepare monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and manage accruals.
- Handle audit and financial queries, ensuring accurate and timely responses.
- Compile key audit information and schedules for tax, VAT, and other financial matters.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Knowledge of corporate or manufacturing accounting is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Accounting degree or fully qualified AAT, or part/full ACCA qualification.
- Proficiency in CIS, PAYE, and VAT.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
