Our client is a well-established construction company based in Colchester, specialising in high-quality building projects across commercial, residential, and infrastructure sectors. With a strong reputation for excellence and innovation, they are looking for a Management Accountant to join their finance team and support the company’s continued growth.
Key Responsibilities-
Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.

Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making.

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control processes.

Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Work closely with project managers to monitor project costs and profitability.

Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with auditors.

Oversee VAT returns, CIS reporting, and other tax compliance duties.

Support the development and improvement of financial systems and controls.

Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
Requirements:
- A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Experience with Sage.
- Experience in the construction industry is a big positive but not essential.
