About the Company

Our client is a well-established construction company based in Colchester, specialising in high-quality building projects across commercial, residential, and infrastructure sectors. With a strong reputation for excellence and innovation, they are looking for a Management Accountant to join their finance team and support the company’s continued growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.

  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making.

  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control processes.

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

  • Work closely with project managers to monitor project costs and profitability.

  • Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with auditors.

  • Oversee VAT returns, CIS reporting, and other tax compliance duties.

  • Support the development and improvement of financial systems and controls.

  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.

Requirements:

  • A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Experience with Sage.
  • Experience in the construction industry is a big positive but not essential.
