Are you detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about finance? We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our small but dynamic finance team.
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our finance operations while contributing to the overall success of the business.
Your Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable processing using a semi-automated system (overheads, bill of materials, UK and foreign transactions).
- Processing supplier payment runs.
- Maintaining and updating the sales ledger.
- Ensuring customer accounts are accurate and up to date.
- Accruals and prepayment postings.
- Posting transactions into Sage Accounting.
- Investigating invoice discrepancies and resolving queries.
- Reconciling supplier statements.
- Maintaining the vehicle database.
- Assisting with quarterly VAT returns.
- Posting expense claims.
