Join our dynamic team, where we are committed to excellence and innovation. We are looking for an Accounts Assistant who is detail-oriented and has a passion for financial management. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys supporting business success through effective financial processes.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist in the completion of month-end processes and preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Perform monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations, VAT Return, and Intrastat Submission.
  • Review weekly P&L and provide commentary for internal circulation.
  • Assist in the preparation and posting of journals.
  • Provide support to the annual audit process.
  • Regularly review Creditor and Debtor accounts.
  • Continually evaluate existing finance processes and controls, suggesting improvements.
  • Participate in ad hoc Finance projects as required by departmental heads.
  • Prepare and analyse financial reports to support business decision-making.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant field or extensive equivalent experience.
  • Excellent IT skills and an advanced level of experience using Excel.
  • Superb communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels within the organisation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to work against pressured timeframes.
  • Experience in a specialist finance area supported by a minimum AAT qualification.
