Staffing Centre is recruiting for an amazing opportunity for a General Maintenance Officer to join an established Childrens Home based within Essex and Suffolk (max driving distance from Colchester is 45m).
Duties/Accountabilities
- To provide general maintenance service and identify any possible home defects (e.g. decorating, putting up shelves, replacing doors etc).
- To work at the 4 homes (45m from Colchester) when required based upon company needs.
- Performing ad hoc duties.
- Creating maintenance plans.
- Undertaking minor plumbing and electrical work.
- Addressing general repairs within the homes when needed.

What you will need to succeed
- Previous experience within a similar general maintenance position.
- Full UK driving license.
- Ability to carry out work on own initiative.
- Understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
- Experience within a general maintenance role, carrying out building repairs.
