Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils are looking for a Bricklayer/Groundworker to join our team. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will earn a competitive salary of £35,930 per annum (pro rata for part time.

Full time, part time and job share opportunities will be considered.

What we are looking for

We are looking for Bricklayers/Groundworkers to join our Trades Team in Great Wenham.  To be successful, you will share our values, commitment, and motivation to make a difference for our residents, clients, and communities.

About the Bricklayer/Groundworker role

  • This is an opportunity to join the councils in a new dynamic housing repairs team. 
  • You will be responsible for undertaking high quality responsive external ground working and bricklaying works to our tenants homes and communal areas.
  • You will provide outstanding customer service and excellent standards of performance to the public and residents of Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils.

About you

  • We are looking for experienced trades operatives with strong technical skills and working knowledge gained in either a commercial or public sector environment.  
  • You will need to have a focused customer service approach and be adaptable and resourceful when working in a team or independently across the Babergh and Mid Suffolk districts.
  • You will need to have gained either a City and Guilds or NVQ Level 2 minimum in bricklaying or Trowel Operations or have gained significant relevant experience.
