Position: School Business Manager (Part-Time)

Location: Various Primary Schools in and around Colchester

Hours: 3 days a week, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Pay: £21 per hour (Temporary Basis)

Type: Temporary to Permanent

About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Business Manager to join our team, working across several primary schools in the Colchester area. This role is initially offered on a temporary basis, with the potential to become permanent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and policies.
  • Manage school administrative functions and support services.
  • Liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies to support school operations.
  • Implement and monitor health and safety policies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Business Manager in a school, local government, or NHS setting.
  • Strong understanding of local authority procedures and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to supporting the educational environment and school community.
  • Experience of payroll
  • Experience of managing budgets
  • Experience of finding cost cutting solutions 
  • Clean driving licence and a car

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role within the education sector.
  • Familiarity with financial software and school management systems.
