Your new companyMy client is a market leader within their industry, based on the outskirts of Colchester.

Your new roleThis is a newly created Interim Customer Service Manager job supporting a busy and vibrant team while they recruit for this role permanently. The duties are varied, but most importantly, in this interim role, you will be responsible for the daily management of in excess of 30 staff and 7 direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a large team of Team Leaders and Advisors, ensuring that they are suitably skilled to be able to offer the exemplary service that our customers expect.
  • Build and develop relationships with key account customers.
  • Deal with all escalations from customers and sales colleagues.
  • Develop a high-performing team within Customer Service through performance management, coaching and development.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Set challenging goals for the department to achieve, based on service excellence.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this Interim Customer Services Manager job, you must be an experienced people manager (of customer services or internal sales teams), someone who is very collaborative in their approach (working across boundaries), confident to work on their own initiative, with strong attention to detail as well as high levels of accuracy. This job requires the 'ultimate' people manager who can 'hit the ground running' to impact and drive forward a large team within a short period of time.What you'll get in returnIn return, you will receive the chance to support an established and positive customer service team:

  • Monday to Friday (9:00-17:00)
  • 100% office-based
  • Expected start date - 24th March
  • Expected duration - 8 weeks (possibly longer)
  • Salary - c£50,000 pro rata (dependent on experience)
