Yard Operative/Van Driver

C1 or Grandfather Rights is Essential for this role!

We are recruiting for a leading food product manufacturer and distributor in the Colchester area on a ongoing temporary basis, with an immediate start. This role would suit someone who has worked in a Yard environment before and has a driving licence enabling them to drive up to a 7.5T lorry.

Supporting the wider business in the distribution of product across the facility, this role is vital to the smooth running of internal procedures.

Duties Of The Yard Operative/Van Driver Will Include:

• Driving a Lorry/Van around the yard when needed
• Loading and unloading goods from the Warehouse
• Working in a chilled environment and outside as required
• Checking for any broken or damaged products
• Safe manual handling
• Keeping a clean working environment
• Able to carry out physical duties for extending periods
• Carry out repetitive heavy lifting as required

The Ideal Yard Operative/Van Driver Operative Candidate:

• Must have a C1 or Grandfather rights for this role
• Previous Warehouse/Yard Experience in a Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain environment is preferred
• Looking for a Temporary Ongoing position

Hours, Pay & Benefits:

• Monday to Friday, 10:00 - 18:30
• 11.44 p/hour
• Overtime is available
• Parking on Site
