Technical Sales Executive (Manufacturing) 

Colchester – Office Based 

Circa £40,000 (Salary is Flexible DOE) + Sales Bonus + 24 Days Holiday + 8 Days Bank Holiday + Pension (3% Employer, 5% Employee) 

Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 17:00, Friday 08:00 to 13:00 

Technical Sales Executive required for a well-established company who are market leaders in what they do and work with almost every major manufacturer in the UK. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to play an integral role in a leading and growing company who are offering a ‘warm’ sales-focused position. 

Experience working within a manufacturing industry is essential for this position and candidates from any industry are encouraged to apply. Previous sales experience is not essential as training can be provided. However, you will need experience working in an office environment, including writing emails, speaking over the phone etc. 

Working within a small sales team, the successful Technical Sales Executive will be responsible for working with customers to identify appropriate products from the company’s marketing leading range. This is a ‘warm’ sales role as you will work with existing customers, existing leads, and new customer enquiries.

The successful candidate will spend the first 6-12 months working office based to learn company products, however, following this you can expect to spend up to 10% of your time visiting customer sites.

The Technical Sales Executive Role: 

· Solution sales – helping customers identify appropriate products
· 90% Office Based
· Initial point of contact for customer enquiries
· Production of quotes
· Maintain customer records on CRM system 

The Technical Sales Executive Candidate:

· Experience within manufacturing – familiarity with general processes
· Experience in an office-based role
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
