Prime Appointments are currently working with an industry leading company who are currently looking for an experienced Fire Engineer to join their fast growing team based on the outskirts of Colchester. Reporting to the head of operations, you will play a senior role within the team and deliver expert fire safety strategies for existing buildings.

As a Fire Engineer, you will be required to:

  • Conduct detailed fire safety inspections and produce comprehensive reports with actionable recommendations
  • Ensure all fire safety strategies align with current legislation, national and international standards (e.g., ADB, BS 9997)
  • Develop and implement retrospective fire safety strategies for existing buildings
  • Identify fire safety risks and propose cost-effective, practical solutions
  • Support the implementation of new fire safety services and emerging technologies
  • Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to integrate fire safety solutions

Experience required:

  • Strong background in fire engineering, fire safety consultancy, or risk assessment
  • Extensive knowledge of fire safety regulations and compliance standards
  • Ability to provide technical leadership and expert guidance to client
  • Experience working with heritage buildings, high-rise structures, or complex facilities is an advantage
  • Skilled in fire strategy development, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory compliance
