An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Fire Engineer to join a dynamic and growing fire safety consultancy. This role is ideal for a recent graduate with a passion for fire safety, engineering design, and regulatory compliance. You will work alongside experienced Fire Engineers and Consultants, gaining hands-on experience in fire strategy development, risk assessments, and compliance reviews across a variety of sectors.

As a Graduate Fire Engineer, you will be required to:

  • Assist in developing fire safety strategies, reports, technical notes and sketches, ensuring compliance with fire regulations
  • Support building design reviews, assessing fire safety risks and proposing practical, effective solutions
  • Conduct fire engineering analysis, including smoke and evacuation modelling, temperature spread calculations, and structural assessments
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, and statutory authorities, ensuring fire safety measures align with project requirements
  • Work with advanced computer modelling software to perform fire dynamics assessments and simulations
  • Participate in fire safety inspections, evaluating fire management strategies in existing buildings
  • Prepare detailed reports and recommendations to support fire safety management plans and compliance strategies
  • Manage fire engineering projects, supporting the delivery of high-quality solutions on time and within budget

What We're Looking For:

  • A degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A keen interest in fire safety, building regulations, and fire risk management.
  • Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with clients, design teams, and regulatory bodies.
  • Experience with fire modelling software (desirable but not essential - training provided).
