Reed in Colchester are delighted to be supporting our client seeking a bright and ambitious Commercial Manager to join their supplier negotiation team. This role is based in Colchester and offers a fantastic opportunity for someone with the right approach and application to join an exciting company as they rapidly expand nationwide.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Negotiate purchasing agreements to ensure the best deal for the business
- Provide support to both managers and estimators in their pricing and queries
- Serve as a point of contact for their suppliers, helping to deliver their message to staff and customers
- Attend events, shows, and exhibitions to network and identify further possibilities for better deals
- Work alongside the Product File team to create pricing structures that enable their staff to trade competitively
- Identify new product ranges and suppliers that will provide futureproofing for the years to come
- Provide direct assistance to the Commercial Director with support from other Commercial Managers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A good level of competency with Excel
- Experience in either a similar role or a related industry is preferred
- Key personality traits include a keen grasp of numbers and an enthusiastic, dynamic, ‘can do’ attitude.
