Prime Appointments are currently working with a leading manufacturer who are looking for a talented CNC Programmer to join their team based in Colchester,
The ideal candidate would be responsible for programming the laser cutters, turret punches and waterjet machines, this will ensure both accuracy and efficiency in sheet metal fabrication.
We are looking for a CNC Programmer with experience in SolidWorks (specifically the sheet metal module) or Radan software.
As a CNC Programmer, you will be required to:
- Program CNC equipment such as laser cutters, turret punches, and waterjets
- Analyse technical drawings and specifications to guarantee precise manufacturing
- Enhance cutting paths to improve material usage and minimise waste
- Diagnose and refine programs to address production issues
Qualification and experience required:
- Proven experience in CNC programming within sheet metal fabrication
- Expertise in SolidWorks 3D with the sheet metal module or Radan software
- Solid skills in reading and understanding technical drawings and production requirements
- Keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities in CNC programming and issue resolution
- Prior experience programming laser cutters, turret punches, or waterjets is a significant advantage
