This role represents a rare opportunity for a Project Manager with a background in Manufacturing/Product development to join a growing business in this newly created role. The Project Manager is pivotal in working across the organisation to implement robust Project controls, ensuring OTD and customer satisfaction. This is a niche Electronic business whose offering is making waves in their sector. The Project Manager will report directly to the COO and deliver board reports for business critical projects.Core duties include, but not limited to:
  • Lead Coordination of Customer Pilots and Projects: Manage and oversee key customer pilots and international projects, engaging proactively with customers, sales teams, implementation managers, customer service, purchasing, third-party partners, and both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Project Intake & Setup: Oversee the project intake process, ensuring smooth setup of new projects, and managing documentation to facilitate the efficient flow of projects through the pipeline. Ensure systems are in place to deliver projects on time and measure success effectively.
  • Adherence to Delivery Methodology: Ensure that the established delivery methodology is followed throughout the project lifecycle, including project closure. Facilitate lessons learned sessions to drive continuous improvement across future projects.
  • Project Tracking and Accountability: Create and maintain detailed Gantt charts outlining project delivery actions, schedules, ownership, and potential risks. Monitor action status and hold delivery stakeholders accountable for meeting deadlines and achieving milestones.
  • Cost Management and Forecasting: Track project delivery costs, comparing forecasts to actual expenses. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities to optimize project budgets.
  • Project Point of Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact both internally and externally, gathering customer requirements, reporting on project progress, and facilitating coordination. Attend and lead meetings to review progress, address challenges, assess risks, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
