Ackerman Pierce work closely with County Councils and Schools to provide one to one tutoring for children waiting for school placements. The children we are looking to support have a range of additional complex needs and so we are seeking experienced SEN /HLTA's/Tutors/Teachers.
We are currently recruiting for a Primary Outreach Tutor to provide core subjects. This is 1:1 face to face provision to SEND Students who need access to Alternative provision.
- Location - Colchester and Surrounding Areas
- Position - KS1-KS2 Outreach Tutor
- Start date - ASAP
- End date - ongoing
- Contract type - Temporary
- Rate of pay £25 - £35 per hour (depending on experience)
- Hours - Tuition takes place between 9am-12pm
- Days - Monday to Friday
We are looking for candidates who are:-
- Available during school hours up to 30 hours per week.
- Experienced in delivering differentiated National Curriculum core subjects.
- Experience teaching young people with a wide range of complex and challenging needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH
- Exceptional behaviour management strategies.
- Prepared to work face to face within the community.
Requirements
- Background teaching in English, Maths, Science or SEN classes ranging from KS1-KS2.
- QTS status (or equivalent) or unqualified with two years' experience teaching core subjects
- Experience working with ASD/ADHD/SEMH and associated complex needs.
- 2 years previous experience working within a UK school.
