A leading electronics engineering company, based on the outskirts of Colchester, is seeking a Senior Electronic Hardware Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to lead complex product development projects, designing, developing, and testing high-performance hardware solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define product specifications with Product Management
- Lead the design of digital, analogue, and RF hardware using Altium Designer
- Perform component selection, simulation, and testing
- Debug and validate hardware using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analysers)
- Collaborate with mechanical/software teams for integration
- Manage complex product development projects from concept to production
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical support
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience as a Senior Electronic Hardware Design Engineer with expertise in Altium Designer and PCB layout
- Strong knowledge of high-speed signal design, RF, and EMI/EMC considerations
- Hands-on experience with debugging tools and lab equipment
- Knowledge of FPGA design or microcontroller systems is a plus
