Job Title: Wi-Fi Test EngineerLocation: Colchester / Brentwood (5 day onsite)Duration- 6 monthsWhat you’ll do:

  • Responsible for hardware testing and producing test reports
  • Maintain and develop automation test tools to improve overall test efficiency.
  • Support the Design and Development teams with product testing and evaluation and recommending further investigation if required.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience in using test and validation methodology and scripts to test hardware and/or systems/platforms (essential)
  • Use of CLI tools on Linux (ping / iperf ), editing simple scripts for automation. (essential)
  • Some knowledge of Wi-Fi. 802.11 (MAC, channels, rates, MIMO, WPS) (essential)
  • UK driver’s license and own car to commute to test houses. (essential)
  • Knowledge of automation tools to automate report generation (CSV to graphs to PowerPoint) (Power BI, Grafana, Advanced Excel)
  • Some programming knowledge.
  • Experience in summarising technical information with varying levels of detail, depending on audience (Non-essential)
