We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing estimates, and collaborating closely with both internal teams and clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in the fibreglass manufacturing industry, a strong understanding of materials and production processes, and the ability to create detailed, precise cost breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review project specifications and requirements to generate accurate cost estimates.
  2. Analyse drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to assess material and labour costs.
  3. Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments to obtain quotes and validate costs.
  4. Prepare comprehensive estimates and quotations for clients in a timely manner.
  5. Support the sales team with technical expertise during the bidding process.
  6. Assist in the development and review of project timelines and budgets.
  7. Maintain accurate records of estimates, costs, and project details.
  8. Identify opportunities for cost-saving and process improvements during estimation.
  9. Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies.

Skills & Experience:

  1. Proven experience as an Estimator, preferably within the fibreglass manufacturing industry.
  2. Strong understanding of fibreglass production processes, materials, and cost factors is desirable but not essential.
  3. Strong understanding of the construction industry or other relevant industry.
  4. Proficient in using estimation software and Excel for cost calculations.
  5. Exceptional attention to detail with excellent analytic and problem-solving skills.
  6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client and supplier interactions.
  7. Ability to work independently and manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
  8. Experience working within a team and supporting the sales process.
  9. A proactive approach with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
