Reed Business Support in Colchester are recruiting an Events Administrator for our growing client.  This role involves assisting in the management and delivery of a diverse portfolio of events, conferences, workshops, seminars, and training courses across Europe, both in-person and online. If you are enthusiastic about organising events and providing excellent customer service, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Handle event queries via email and manage the delivery of events
  • Assist in organising social programmes and coordinating panel schedules.
  • Create content and support relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Assist with on-site event setup and management, and configure the event website.
  • Ensure that enquiries related to events are handled efficiently, providing relevant information and support.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive event documentation, plans, and reports.
  • Monitor event progress, addressing any disruptions or delays proactively.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding travel and accommodation requirements.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of high standards of presentation of event spaces.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Good general education, typically to GCSE equivalent or higher.
  • Experience in general administration within a busy office environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and administrative tasks.
  • Flexible approach to working hours and arrangements.
  • Experience in delivering virtual and/or hybrid events is desirable.
  • Event management certification is a plus.
