Your new roleAs the Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in the welfare and development of your team, ensuring that all tasks are executed efficiently and accurately to meet our targets and deadlines. Furthermore, this role is pivotal in ensuring that financial clauses in customer contracts are accurately reflected in our accounting systems. You will also be responsible for identifying and resolving any discrepancies in sales information. Key responsibilities:
- Working closely with the team to bring the whole department together as a unit, improving morale, training and staff integration
- Collaborate with team leaders to review workloads and KPIs, ensuring all processes are executed accurately and efficiently
- Work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional service and drive continuous improvements
- Attend regular meetings with Rights Sales colleagues in London and the Credit Services department to align on objectives and strategies
- Produce and share KPIs as part of comprehensive business reporting, contributing to performance reviews
- Ensure all processes are well-documented and up-to-date, with adequate coverage for all tasks within the team
- Reconcile incoming rights cash daily, addressing any discrepancies promptly
- Review outstanding cash and statements with Team Leaders to assist in resolving any queries
- Analyse tax and write-off exception reports ensuring compliance and accuracy
Work closely with the Audit Analyst to:
- Identify and contact customers for audits
- Provide support for any recalculation or data issues
- Liaise with customers to address queries, chairing meetings as necessary
- Approve final audit reports
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience managing a medium team within a large organisation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to demonstrate high management service
- Ideally, accounting qualification but not essential.
- An eye for identifying opportunities for improving and leading solutions
