We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Finance Manager to join a growing business within Media based in Colchester. In this role, you will work closely with the CFO to oversee the financial operations of the business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all accounting processes. You will play a pivotal role in driving the financial success of the business.

Key Duties:

  • Full preparation of management accounts, year-end financial packs, and supporting schedules/reconciliations.

  • Collaborate with the commercial team to oversee the raising of quotes, issuing of invoices, and tracking of project completion.

  • Manage cash flow forecasting, including debt collection and payment run coordination.

  • Oversee the supplier process, including invoice authorisation and payment management.

  • Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring accurate reconciliations.

  • Lead the annual budget process across the group, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and KPI preparation.

  • Provide strategic financial insights and support to the CFO and senior leadership team.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified finance professional (ACA/ACCA or CIMA) with proven experience in a similar finance management role. You'll be highly accurate, self-motivated, and able to demonstrate initiative with exceptional attention to detail. Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables and IF functions) and experience with Sage are essential.
