Finance Manager

Colchester

£45k - £55k (DOE)

This is an exciting role within a dynamic and forward thinking organisation, situated on the outskirts of Colchester. Reporting directly to the CFO, this senior role takes responsibility for the following area's within the finance function;

  • Preparing management and year-end account packs, along with supporting schedules and reconciliations
  • Collaborating with commercial teams on quotes, invoicing, and project tracking
  • Overseeing cash flow management and forecasting, debt collection, and payment coordination
  • Managing supplier processes, invoice authorizations, and VAT submissions
  • Assisting with the year-end budget process, including P&L, balance sheets, cash flow forecasts, and KPIs
  • Leading budgeting operations, including budget timeline coordination and preparation of budget reports
  • Serving as the primary contact for external auditors and tax advisors, including year-end analysis and statutory disclosures
  • Managing project code allocations, cost management, and financial analysis
  • Conducting monthly balance sheet reconciliations, sales invoicing, credit control, and debt reporting
  • Ensuring compliance with VAT submissions and Office of National Statistics reporting

Ideally you will be fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA or ICAEW) with a background in practice. Highly skilled in Excel and familiar with Sage and Zahara.
