We are recruiting for a vibrant and welcoming primary school in Colchester, dedicated to providing an outstanding education for all of our students. We are currently seeking a passionate Key Stage 2 Teacher to join our team and make a significant impact on the learning and development of our pupils.

As a Key Stage 2 Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and challenge children in Year 3 to Year 6, providing them with the skills and knowledge they need for future success. You will be part of a collaborative and dedicated teaching team, and you will play a key role in the ongoing success of our school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons that adhere to the National Curriculum for Key Stage 2.
  • Create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations of behaviour and achievement.
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with special educational needs and those working at greater depth.
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to help students reach their full potential.
  • Foster a love of learning, encouraging students to take responsibility for their own progress and personal development.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents, ensuring that communication is clear and effective.
  • Contribute to the development of the school's curriculum and take an active role in school events, including extracurricular activities and parent engagement.
  • Promote students' social, emotional, and personal development, encouraging positive behaviour and resilience.

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (Essential).
  • A degree in Education or a related subject (Essential).
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Desirable, but NQTs are encouraged to apply).
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum for Key Stage 2 and a passion for delivering high-quality teaching.
  • A creative and flexible approach to teaching and learning, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive, respectful classroom atmosphere.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
