Reed in Colchester are delighted to be supporting a client to join their team as a Bid Writer / Tender Coordinator, where you will be instrumental in managing and preparing high-quality tender submissions. This role is ideal for someone with meticulous attention to detail and a strong ability to co-ordinate complex information effectively.

As the Bid Writer / Tender Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Thoroughly reading and understanding the quality sections of tender documents
  • Crafting tailored responses to tender questions while coordinating with various departments to gather necessary information
  • Managing and updating our tender portal, ensuring all submissions are formatted correctly and submitted within deadlines.

Main duties included;

  • Document Management: Ensure all tender documents are read thoroughly and understood, including formatting, font, and page length requirements
  • Response Crafting: Write and refine answers to tender questions, ensuring they meet the expected standards and are compelling
  • Coordination: Work closely with different departments to collect required information, such as Organograms, CVs, Case Studies, Team Structures, and Construction Management Plans
  • Portal Management: Efficiently manage the tender portal, handle clarifications, and ensure timely and accurate submissions
  • Compliance and Updates: Maintain the bid library, ensure no expired documents on portals, and assist with quality responses for associated companies as needed.

Skills & Qualifications required:

  • Proven experience in managing tenders, PQQs, EOIs, RFQs, or similar submissions
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively across various departments.
