HR Officer / Administrator
  • Hourly Rate: £12.55 per hour
  • Location: Colchester 
  • Job Type: Part-Time, Temporary 

Join a leading trust in Essex as an HR Administrator.  You will be instrumental in delivering recruitment, selection, onboarding, and maintaining our HR Information System (HRIS).

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage recruitment and selection processes, including writing job packs, collating applications, and arranging interviews.
  • Prepare employment offers and contracts, ensuring efficient pre-employment checks.
  • Liaise with IT for staff IT amendments including new starter logins and account closures.
  • Handle changes during the employee lifecycle such as DBS renewal and contract adjustments.
  • Process employee sickness and absence, supporting with absence management.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate HR folders, personnel files, and HRIS.
  • Support the monthly payroll process, ensuring all HRIS changes are accurately inputted.
  • Manage HR email mailboxes and maintain HR trackers.
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with GDPR in handling people-related matters.
  • Collaborate effectively within the team and across the organisation to maintain standards and procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in an HR administrative / officer role.
  • Familiarity with recruitment processes and HR Information Systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to work proactively, and under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills and effective collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Commitment to data protection and confidentiality.
