AJ Chambers represents a highly supportive regional law firm recruiting for a Commercial Property Legal PA in Colchester.

As a Legal PA, you will provide comprehensive and proactive support to a Director. This role is pivotal in enhancing the Director's effectiveness by providing information management support and representing the Director to others. The ideal candidate will excel in organisation, communication, and discretion, demonstrating the ability to facilitate smooth operations within the Director's team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Manage and organise the Director’s diary, ensuring that schedules are maintained effectively, including arranging meetings, appointments, and travel. Handle incoming calls and correspondence, referring to other team members as appropriate.
  • Team Leadership and Management Assistance: Act as a liaison between the Director and his team, ensuring clear communication and the execution of tasks as delegated by the Director. Assist in managing team dynamics and morale, ensuring a harmonious and productive work environment.
  • Client Relations: Support the Director in managing client relationships by scheduling meetings, preparing briefing materials, and following up on ongoing cases. Enhance client interaction and satisfaction through diligent support and coordination.
  • Performance Management: Assist in monitoring the performance of the team, coordinating reviews, and implementing performance improvement measures in collaboration with the Director as well as liasing with the CEO and his PA/EA.
  • Marketing and Business Development: Manage the Director’s personal marketing and business development activities, including coordination of networking events, seminars, and other promotional activities. Handle social media presence, particularly on LinkedIn, ensuring a professional and engaging profile.
  • Document Management: Collaborate with legal secretaries and support staff for document preparation, including typing and dictation, ensuring high-quality document management outside the primary secretarial duties.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Personal Assistant or similar administrative role within a legal environment.
  • Strong understanding of the legal profession and law firm dynamics.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with legal software platforms.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Demonstrable ability to manage social media platforms, especially LinkedIn.
