We are seeking a Nurture Teacher to join our outstanding team, supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 - KS5 in a specialist Autism school. About the RoleAs a Nurture Teacher, you will:
- Deliver a tailored curriculum to meet the needs of students with complex needs, including Autism, ADHD, PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties), and other neurodiverse conditions.
- Create a safe, consistent, and nurturing learning environment where students feel valued and supported.
- Develop individualised learning plans to support both academic progress and emotional development.
- Integrate literacy into daily learning by encouraging students to express themselves through writing, storytelling, and communication.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students, helping them develop confidence and emotional resilience.
- Work closely with a skilled and supportive team, including therapists and support staff, to adapt strategies and approaches.
- Encourage sensory exploration and creative expression to support engagement and learning.
- Provide a consistent and structured routine to help students feel secure and engaged in their learning.
- Support transitions between key stages to promote stability and continuous growth.
- A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with experience or a strong interest in working with EYFS, KS1 - KS5 students.
- A passion for working with children with Autism and other complex needs.
- A commitment to consistency and authenticity in your teaching style.
