Job Type:40 Hours a week.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and customer-focused Internal Sales & Key Accounts Support professional to join a fast-paced and dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a sales-driven environment and enjoys delivering exceptional service to key clients.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Account Support

  • Handle incoming sales calls and enquiries
  • Proactively engage existing customers to upsell and cross-sell products
  • Process sales orders and respond to stock and delivery queries
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely, professional manner
  • Monitor stock levels and liaise with logistics to ensure timely deliveries
  • Arrange haulage to meet customer requirements
  • Report on shortages, delays, or lead-time concerns
  • Support Regional Sales Directors with the planning and management of key accounts
  • Work closely with clients to meet specific deadlines and service expectations
  • Review and improve sales processes to enhance performance

Key Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a key account or internal sales role
  • Experience with national accounts or buying groups is a plus
  • Industry background in construction or merchant/distribution sector desirable
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills
  • Confident working independently with a proactive mindset
  • Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel

Performance & Results Focus

  • Support operational targets and KPIs alongside Regional Sales Directors
  • Monitor performance and identify improvements to boost productivity and margins
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely product delivery and issue resolution

Customer Experience

  • Promote a customer-first culture, ensuring high satisfaction across all touchpoints
  • Help implement and refine internal procedures to improve service delivery

Health & Safety / Compliance

  • Adhere to all relevant health & safety procedures and company policies
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and internal quality standards
